On Tuesday, March 25, the government approved the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet) order prepared by the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to provide funding in the amount of 2.48 million for the implementation of the project “Implementation of the European Maritime Single Window EMSWe”. This will introduce the Regulation that requires EU Member States to create a single European Maritime Single Window environment by harmonizing the current national single window systems and implementing the common technical requirements developed by the European Commission.
The Cabinet order approves the passport of the project “Implementation of the European Maritime Single Window EMSWe”, which indicates the activities to be implemented, their costs and performance indicators. The regulatory act determines the MoT as the institution responsible for the implementation of the project and the recipient of funding.
The project “Implementation of the European Maritime Single Window EMSWe” envisages the development and implementation of additions to the national information system “International Freight Logistics and Port Information System” (SKLOIS) managed by the MoT in order to ensure the implementation of EU Regulation 2019/1239 on the establishment of the European Maritime Single Window environment.
As a result of the additions, the International Freight Logistics and Port Information System (SKLOIS) will provide the same data structures, formats and data processing as in all EU countries. At the same time, new data entry, exchange and display forms will be developed for reporting on the vessel’s call at the port, which will enable system users to provide the necessary information in a uniform manner in all EU ports. The European Maritime Single Window will also be integrated with central databases maintained by the EC, as well as centralized, unified user authentication.
