Support for New Approaches in the Provision of Community-Based Social Services

GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION

The aim of the project is to support social innovation in the field of social services in order to promote the development of modern, needs-based, and relevant community-based social services.

Within the framework of the project, the following activities are being implemented:

• development of definitions and characteristics of community-based social service innovations;

• establishment of evaluation criteria for social innovation ideas and project applications;

• implementation of capacity-building and awareness-raising activities for potential social innovation applicants;

• organization of the selection process for social innovation ideas and project proposals;

• and implementation of the approved social innovation projects.

It is planned that through these social innovation projects, 480 individuals will receive innovative community-based social services.

The project is implemented by the Society Integration Foundation. The implementation is planned to continue until mid-2028, and applications for the social innovation idea selection may be submitted until 4 November 2025.

PROJECT PROGRESS INFORMATION

The project has been implemented since March 2024.
So far, 25 training events have been organised for potential applicants of social innovation initiatives, and a set of learning resources has been developed to help better understand the field of social services and how to apply the social innovation approach in their development. In the selection process, 34 social innovation ideas have received support, and 18 project applications for the implementation of social innovations have been approved.
