Within the measure “Support for New Approaches in the Provision of Community-Based Social Services,” the second idea selection phase has concluded. The Society Integration Foundation (SIF) continues to accept new submissions for the idea selection process.
By 31 March 2025, 64 idea proposals were received, reaffirming the strong motivation within society to seek new, innovative solutions for improving community-based social services. On 6 June 2025, at a meeting of the SIF Council, 8 ideas were approved and advanced, and their proponents were invited to prepare and submit full project applications.
The evaluation commission pays particular attention to whether the submitted idea qualifies as a social service and can be regarded as a social innovation, i.e., the introduction of new and previously unused approaches to addressing societal needs. The commission consists of five members: two representatives from the Ministry of Welfare, two from non-governmental organizations, and one representative from the social services field.
We invite you to submit new ideas by 30 June for the third idea selection phase. Please carefully assess whether your idea is genuinely innovative and meets the definition of a social service.
The aim of the measure is to promote social innovation in the field of social services by ensuring the development of modern, needs-based, and relevant community-based social services.
