Virtual reality in police training! New Erasmus+ project VIRTLE is launched

Ministry of the Interior

Last week, the new international Erasmus+ project VIRTLE was officially launched at the European Parliament House in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The Lithuanian Police School, together with its partners — the Police School in Słupsk (Poland), the State Police College (Latvia), and the technology developers Gluk Media (Lithuania) — started work on developing a modern training methodology and virtual reality scenarios for prospective police officers.

The project's objective is to create a learning environment using Virtual Reality (VR) that is maximally close to real life, yet safe, where students can improve their tactical, communication, and decision-making skills.

We are truly delighted that, thanks to Erasmus+, we have the opportunity to implement a project that brings together the best experts and their experience from three countries, thereby integrating innovative tools and methods into police training. In this way, we directly strengthen public safety.
