From September 24 to 26 of this year, an Erasmus+ Staff Professional Development Mobility Programme took place at the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, in which a lecturer from the Police Law Department of the State Police College (Latvia) also participated.
"I would like to thank the State Police College for the opportunity to take part in this Erasmus+ activity. I gained positive emotions and positive experience, which is why I want to encourage others to use the opportunity to participate in experience exchange trips and take part in Erasmus+ mobility. The practical sessions on topics I teach at the State Police College - "Use of Firearms and Special Means" and "Police Tactics in Different Situations" - were especially engaging, as was the chance to get acquainted with the video shooting range and try it out myself. My previous knowledge was supplemented, and I gained new ideas for my work", says the State Police College representative about their participation in the mobility programme.
This time too, the organisers ensured participants gained valuable and practical insight into the specifics of police work in Estonia! During the programme, participants visited the Southern Prefecture in Pärnu, where they learned about the work, structural units, and daily challenges of the Estonian Police and Border Guard.
The lecturer from the State Police College extends special gratitude to the representatives of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences - instructors Triinu Vaher and Kalvi Almosen - for the warm welcome and the interesting discussion on various issues related to police work
