Conference “Wage Transparency – Facts, Experience, Solutions”

To support employers in the preparation process and provide practical guidance for introducing fair pay policies within companies, the Ministry of Welfare is organising the conference “Wage Transparency – Facts, Experience, Solutions.”

The European Parliament and Council Directive on Pay Transparency (2023/970) introduces significant changes to the implementation of the principle of equal pay for equal work across the European Union. Latvia must transpose this directive by 7 June 2026, but it is important for employers to start preparing already now.

Wage transparency is not only a legal obligation – it is an opportunity to build a fair, responsible and inclusive working environment for everyone.

During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to:

• learn about the latest facts and trends on pay transparency in Latvia and across Europe;

• hear how companies from different sectors are implementing pay transparency principles;

• gain insights into international experiences and inspiring examples;

• take part in practical activities and discussions on possible solutions;

• ask questions to experts and share their own experience.

The event will be moderated by Dace Helmane, Head of Sustinere Latvia.
