GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION

The aim of the project is to preserve and develop the significant cultural heritage site, the Great Guild, which is a monument of national importance, by improving the technical condition, infrastructure and energy efficiency of the building, adapting it to the needs of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and making it more accessible to the wider public.

In 2026, the renovation of the Great Guild concert hall will be completed, increasing its capacity, improving its acoustics, installing a low-voltage network, improving environmental accessibility, and restoring the building. It is estimated that the concert hall will be available to visitors for at least 100 days a year, and the number of visitors will increase by at least 7,470. A passenger lift and induction loop will be built in the building, and the new concert hall equipment will also be suitable for choir or jazz concerts.
