The long-awaited and constructed training ground project has concluded! Since 2019, under the Internal Security Fund, colleagues from the State Provision Agency, along with their partners, have worked tirelessly through various challenges to witness the completion celebration of this project.

The safety of the state and its citizens is paramount, so it's incredibly satisfying that our current and future rescuers from State Fire and Rescue Service, the Fire Safety and Civil Protection College, and other emergency services will enhance their professional skills and response capabilities in the new training ground for various disasters, ensuring all of us are safe. May they have unflagging strength to continue learning, developing, and selflessly saving civilians!

The construction of the training ground was implemented within two projects. The first step was taken back in 2019, launching the project "Creation of a CBRNE and Man-Made Disaster Rescue Operations Training Ground," which was financed by the Internal Security Fund's 2014–2021 program. Within this project, a construction design was developed, an extensive procurement procedure was carried out, construction began at Krustpils Street 10, and essential equipment was acquired.

The second development phase began in 2024, continuing the outfitting and equipping of the training ground with support from the Internal Security Fund's 2021–2027 program.

The establishment of the training ground was carried out in cooperation with the State Provision Agency.

The total funding for both projects is €5,733,567, of which 75% is co-financed by the European Union.
