GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION
The objective of the investment is to promote the growth of international competitiveness, profitability, and productivity of enterprises by implementing the innovation governance reform planned under the Recovery and Resilience Facility, through higher knowledge intensity of products and revenues and increased export of products and technologies.

The investment is to be implemented by 30 June 2026. The indicators to be achieved within the investment include the employment of 19 people and the preparation of 3 reports.
As of January 2026, one report has been prepared and published, and a total of 19 people are employed (7 at the Ministry of Economics and 12 at LIAA). A total of EUR 1,080,360.22 has been absorbed (EUR 246,232.99 by the Ministry of Economics and EUR 834,127.23 by LIAA).

ACTIVITIES TO BE IMPLEMENTED WITHIN THE PROJECT
Main tasks of LIAA:
to promote the involvement of enterprises and research and knowledge dissemination organisations in international research and development programmes and projects, while ensuring that LIAA does not carry out activities in the interests of enterprises that would qualify as State aid;
in cooperation with the RIS3 governance group, to coordinate the development of long-term strategies for RIS3 specialisation areas;
to analyse, collect, and compile data for the implementation and updating of RIS3 strategies in each RIS3 area;
to organise and communicate the developed strategies across sectors and with research organisations or the state.

As a result of project implementation, it is planned to prepare and publish three RIS3 monitoring reports by 30 June 2026.
