Training seminars “Code of Respect” on building an inclusive working environment begin

The Ministry of Welfare

To promote an inclusive and respectful working environment, the Ministry of Welfare, in cooperation with the foundation “Ventspils High Technology Park”, is launching a series of training seminars “Code of Respect” across all regions of Latvia.

In parallel, a methodological guide “Inclusive Working Environment and Prevention of Discrimination: Practice, Principles and Solutions” (in Latvian) has been developed, serving as a practical resource for employers and organisations.

The seminars aim to help managers and employees of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as associations and foundations, to:

  • better understand the principles of equal opportunities and diversity management;

  • recognise and prevent discrimination in the workplace;

  • practically build an inclusive and respectful organisational culture.

The first seminars will take place in Kurzeme (online on 29 January, in person on 11–12 February in Ventspils, and in 18-19 February in Liepāja).

The activities are implemented under the ESF+ co-financed project “Promoting Equal Opportunities and Non-Discrimination” (in Latvian) (No. 4.3.4.1/1/23/I/001).
