 General Project Information

The objective of the investment is to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises through the deployment of digital technologies, as well as to promote a digital and innovative public administration that uses technologies as advanced as those in the private sector; to foster the implementation of solutions in alignment with the Smart Specialisation Strategy; to increase enterprises’ awareness of the benefits offered by digital technologies; to ensure accessibility of support for digital transformation processes across the entire territory of the Republic of Latvia; and to ensure Latvia’s full participation in the common European Digital Innovation Hub network.

Target Group

Within the investment, the final beneficiaries are:

  • micro, small, medium-sized, and large enterprises (including foreign branches of legal entities, farms, and cooperative societies);

  • associations and foundations that unite at least three enterprises or represent their interests;

  • public persons or their institutions;

  • research and knowledge dissemination organisations that carry out economic activities;

  • public capital companies.

Project Progress Information

Within the investment, the following target is to be achieved by 30 June 2026:
the number of digital development roadmaps issued by the European Digital Innovation Hub to entities – 2,000.

As of 07 January 2026, the Latvian Information Technology Cluster has issued 6,009 digital development roadmaps.

On 11 December 2025, the conference “Share IT 2025” took place. The conference was implemented within the framework of the project “EDIH: Support for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence Development in Latvia” (No. 2.2.1.1.i.0/23/I/CFLA/001) and the project “Development of AI – ICT for Manufacturing EDIH in Latvia” (No. 101083983).

Investment Implementation Is Ensured By:

  • the European Digital Innovation Hub as an innovation cluster and support provider to final beneficiaries;

  • the Ministry of Economics as the responsible sectoral ministry for matters related to support for the digitalisation of enterprises;

  • the Central Finance and Contracting Agency, in accordance with the competences set out in the regulatory framework governing the implementation and monitoring of the European Union Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Plan.
