New electric trains - greener travel!

The new trains purchased with co-financing from the European Union funds and the modernized railway infrastructure will encourage many people to switch from their private cars to a greener and more sustainable mode of transport – the train – as the trains in Latvia now offer the same conveniences that passengers enjoy in many European countries.

 In the story "New Electric Trains – A Greener Way to Travel!" ("Jaunie elektrovilcieni – zaļāka braukšana!"), Kozmens embarks on a journey from the newly built railway stop Bieriņi / Bērnu slimnīca to Olaine, assessing how modern the new electric trains, purchased with support from European Union funding, really are. During the trip, he meets with two students, Arta and Santa, to find out which advantages of the new electric trains passengers value the most and why it is important to think about sustainable mobility.
