Latvian technology company “Ajelix”, which develops artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for businesses, has made a significant investment in high-performance server infrastructure in Latvia. This step enables the company to deploy and customise open-source large language models in a controlled environment, ensuring that user data remains within the European Union and meets the highest data security requirements.
“Ajelix” was founded in 2022 and has already attracted more than 350,000 registered users from 150 countries worldwide. The AI chat solution developed by “Ajelix” acts as an agent for carrying out business tasks – helping to automate reports, presentations, applications and other business processes.
The investment in infrastructure was implemented with support from the European Union, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and Jelgava City Municipality. The company is currently participating in the business incubation programme at LIAA’s Jelgava Representative Office and is also actively making use of the export opportunities provided by LIAA.
The “Ajelix” team emphasises that the support gives the company the confidence to take significant steps in its development: “The incubation programme enables us to make additional investments in both marketing and technology development. In addition, the programme helps us ensure AI and data sovereignty and gain faster access to the resources needed to develop innovative products.”
Alongside further developing its technology and marketing activities, the company is actively using LIAA’s export promotion instruments to expand internationally. A good example is the recent trade mission to Germany organised by LIAA, from which the company returned with significant and valuable contacts for its further expansion.
“LIAA’s trade missions help us reach export markets and connect with potential cooperation partners who are already interested in what we offer – partners whom we would not be able to reach as quickly or effectively on our own,” says the “Ajelix” team.
Thanks to its own infrastructure and the support provided by LIAA, “Ajelix” continues to develop secure AI solutions tailored to the needs of European businesses.
