Ministry of the Interior

We are honored and delighted to announce that at the "Best Building of the Year in Latvia 2024" awards ceremony, our pride and joy—the Fire Safety and Civil Protection College's "CBRNE and Man-Made Disaster Response Training Ground"—received a special award and an honorary diploma in the "Socially Significant Building" category.

This high recognition is a testament to our firm resolve, professionalism, and vision to create something truly essential for Latvia's security. The training ground is more than just a building. It's the heartbeat of our nation's security, a place where the next generation of brave firefighters and rescuers are prepared to face any challenge and protect our people from disaster. We thank everyone who believed in and supported the realization of this dream.

This success gives us even greater inspiration to continue our work, improve, and tirelessly strengthen our country's internal security.

The implementation of this outstanding project would not have been possible without the immense and invaluable support of the European Commission. We express our heartfelt gratitude for the co-financing from the Internal Security Fund. This training ground is a true testament that European Union investments are not just a financial contribution, but a strong promise and assurance that the European Union stands alongside its member states, strengthening security across the entire European Union.
