On April 10th of this year, professionals gathered at the Ministry of Interior to participate in the Ministry of Interior Industry Day - 2025, which took place with the support of the European Union.
This event has become a significant platform for dialogue and cooperation between the Ministry of Interior, its structural units, leading security and defense industry companies, and academic institutions.
We can note with satisfaction that this year's event, traditionally organized in close cooperation with the Latvian Security and Defence Industries Federation, once again brought together a large number of participants - more than 300.
Two dynamic panel discussions provided valuable insights into current security sector issues, challenges, and future trends. High-level discussions involved the leadership of the Ministry of Interior and its subordinate institutions, as well as experienced entrepreneurs and leading representatives of educational institutions.
The Ministry of Interior Industry Day is a vivid example of how European Union support can promote sector development and strengthen national security. This event not only provides an opportunity to share knowledge and best practices but also fosters the creation of innovative solutions and the development of new cooperation projects. Year after year, we see how this initiative helps to build a closer connection between state institutions and the private sector, thereby jointly strengthening Latvia's internal security and promoting economic growth.
This successful story, now in its fourth year, confirms the significant role of the European Union in Latvia's development and the persistent impact of its support on strengthening national security and introducing innovation.
