GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION
The aim of the project is to promote the development of a multimodal public transport network with the railway as the backbone of the public transport system, establishing a public transport connection point in the territory of the Daugavpils symmetry node station and at the same time promoting micromobility in overall mobility.
Activities:
- construction of a public transport connection point;
- development of micromobility infrastructure related to accessibility and connectivity of public transport.
Reconstruction of the territory of Daugavpils Railway Station will be carried out, creating a modern public transport connection point, which will ensure convenient connections between various transport modes - railway, regional and city bus routes, as well as micro-mobility solutions. In addition, parking area construction is planned, which will promote the use of the “Park & ride” principle and allow residents to transfer to public transport or rail. Also, within the framework of the project, the reconstruction of functional connections will be carried out in several street sections. The reconstruction of these streets will ensure safe and convenient access to the station area for all road users - pedestrians, cyclists, public transport and road transport, users of micromobility tools.
As a result of the project, a public transport connection point with functional connections will be established and micromobility infrastructure related to public transport connectivity will be created.
Date of completion of the project: 31.12.2028.

Contract signed with “Cerva” Ltd for the development of the construction project “Development of a Multimodal Public Transport Network in the City of Daugavpils” on 23.09.2026.
