Bringing Europe closer: An exhibition of EU-funded projects tours Latvia’s regions

Ministry of Transport

The Ministry of Transport has created a travelling poster exhibition that highlights significant transport sector development projects implemented in Latvia with financing from European Union (EU) funds and the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). The exhibition aims to inform the public about the EU’s contribution to strengthening Latvia’s connectivity, safety, and sustainable mobility.

In May, the travelling poster exhibition was displayed at Daugavpils Vocational School of Industry, where it was open to visitors for a week and a half, and subsequently at Daugavpils Vocational School of Technology and Tourism for almost two weeks. The exhibition is particularly aimed at young people, promoting awareness of the importance of transport sector development and the European Union’s support for its implementation. On May 9, Europe Day, the exhibition was featured at the “European Courtyard Festival” in Daugavpils, giving the wider public an opportunity to learn about the EU’s investments in the development of Latvia’s transport sector.

In June and July, the exhibition is on display at the Kuldīga Community House, a venue where people of different generations and interests gather every day. During the summer, the centre hosts drawing classes, sports activities, handicraft workshops, as well as seminars and meetings, allowing the exhibition to reach a broad audience, including both Kuldīga residents and visitors to the city.

In the autumn, the exhibition will also be on display in the Eastern Vidzeme region of Latvia.

We invite everyone to visit the exhibition and learn more about the projects that promote European connectivity, mobility and sustainable development!
