About sustainable and safe mobility at the youth festival "ES.TU.MĒS.JAUNIEŠI.2026"

On Saturday, September 5, the Ministry of Transport of Latvia participated in the youth engagement festival “ES.TU.MĒS.JAUNIEŠI.2026”, held in Ozolnieki, Jelgava municipality. The Ministry offered visitors a co-creation activity programme titled “Different Mobility. Safer. More Convenient. Greener.”, aimed at raising awareness of sustainable and safe mobility, and the role of European Union (EU) investments in the development of the transport sector.

As part of the program, festival visitors had the opportunity to take part in a variety of educational and entertaining activities designed to promote understanding of safe everyday mobility. By spinning a prize wheel, young people could test their knowledge of road traffic regulations and the fundamentals of safe mobility, while the most knowledgeable participants received prizes.

At the Ministry’s tent “Different Mobility. Safer. More Convenient. Greener.", young people could take photos in an artificial intelligence-powered photo booth, which generated a unique mobility-themed image for each participant. Visitors also had the chance to learn more about EU-funded projects that support and improve mobility opportunities for residents.
