The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter – the OCMA) has developed a convenient and functional electronic tool (hereinafter – the e-tool) for third-country nationals legally residing in the Republic of Latvia. This tool allows users to quickly and easily access information regarding the application and issuance process for both Schengen short-stay and national long-stay visas.
The Visa e-tool is available on the OCMA's website at www.pmlp.gov.lv. It provides a comprehensive, one-stop resource for detailed information on applying for Schengen and national visas, the document submission process, payment terms, visa issuance, as well as the amount and procedure for paying state fees.
“The OCMA continues to improve its digital service solutions to ensure that information is clear and easily accessible for every client. The new visa e-tool provides a step-by-step guide through all requirements, making the process more transparent and convenient,” emphasizes Maira Roze, Head of the OCMA.
The e-tool was created to allow clients to navigate the extensive amount of information related to visa applications in a modern and efficient way. While this information was previously available on the OCMA's website, it had not been compiled into a single, user-friendly interface until now. The tool is available in both Latvian and English at: https://vizucelvedis.pmlp.gov.lv/.
The development of the visa e-tool was funded under the Border Management and Visa Instrument 2021–2027 program, as part of the project “Use and Development of the National Visa Information System (NVIS)".
