Ministry of the Interior

This week, within the framework of the FireLess project (LL-00275), an International Training Camp is taking place in Jelgava, with the participation of 20 of the most athletic representatives from the fire departments of Latvia and 20 from Lithuania.

The main goal of the training camp is to improve physical fitness and psychological resilience under prolonged stress, while simultaneously strengthening the cooperation capabilities of Latvian and Lithuanian firefighters - rescuers.

The camp includes not only movement activities and training sessions supervised by a physiotherapist, but also team-building and cooperation exercises that require precise communication and good coordination. The aim of these tasks is to foster mutual understanding and more effective teamwork, which is crucial when responding to emergencies in the border region.
