With EU support, the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior is implementing a significant project to improve national digital services

With the support of the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Facility, the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior is implementing a significant project to improve national digital services - "Development of cloud computing services of the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior within the framework of the national federated cloud".

Infrastructure services are being developed to make state-provided digital services more accessible, faster, and more secure for every resident of Latvia!

What has already been achieved?

• new network equipment has been acquired for the data centres of the Ministry of the Interior's institutions;

• important national data registers now operate in a cloud computing environment, which improves data security and accessibility;

• data transmission network connections between various data centres are being established in cooperation with the State Joint-Stock Company "Latvian State Radio and Television Centre".

We thank the European Commission for the crucial and invaluable financial support that enables the implementation of this significant project! The European Commission's support is fundamental to significantly strengthen national digital services for the benefit of the residents of Latvia.
