With EU funds' support for Latvia's security! The Fire Safety and Civil Protection College's training ground receives "Best Building of the Year" award

Ministry of the Interior

We are proud to announce that the Fire Safety and Civil Protection College's "CBRNE and Man-Made Disaster Response Training Ground" received a special award and a diploma in the "Socially Significant Building" category at the "Best Building of the Year in Latvia 2024" awards ceremony.

This award and diploma are a testament to our perseverance, professionalism, and vision to create a truly significant facility for Latvia's security. The training ground is not just a building; it is a place where the next generation of firefighters and rescuers are prepared to face various threats and crises. A huge thank you to everyone who supported and believed in the necessity of this training ground!

Winning this special award gives us even greater motivation to continue our work, improve, and strengthen our country's internal security. The training ground in Latvia was established with co-financing from the European Union's Internal Security Fund. The project was implemented in cooperation with the State Agency of Provision.

The implementation of this significant project in Latvia would not have been possible without the support of the European Commission! We express our immense gratitude for the European Union's co-financing from the Internal Security Fund. This is a clear demonstration that EU investments are directly aimed at strengthening the well-being and security of society across the European Union, including Latvia.
