The third phase of two projects implemented within the Interreg Latvia-Lithuania cross-border cooperation program has concluded

In July 2025, the third phase of two projects implemented within the framework of the Interreg Latvia-Lithuania cross-border cooperation program was completed:

• As part of the "FloodAdapt" (LL-00105) project, specialized equipment and technology were acquired, staff training was conducted, and scenarios were developed for the upcoming practical exercises that will take place in the final phase of the project. • as part of the "PeatFire" (LL-00007) project, specialized equipment and technology were acquired, State Fire and Rescue Service personnel training was provided, and scenarios for tabletop exercises were developed and successfully implemented during the third phase. The State Fire and Rescue Service is pleased to have the opportunity to implement projects that not only improve cooperation between the state services of Latvia and Lithuania and their ability to overcome threats posed by floods and peat fires, but also strengthen the capacity of the State Fire and Rescue Service itself.
