Thanks to TAIEX, the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs shares experience with Moldovan colleagues

On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter – the Office) hosted representatives from the Moldovan Public Services Agency for an experience exchange visit within the framework of the European Commission's Technical Assistance and Information Exchange program (TAIEX). The purpose of the visit was to share practical knowledge and experience on the provision of public services.

The Head of the Office, Maira Roze, emphasizes: "Work visits of this kind are an excellent opportunity not only to share our accumulated experience and best practice examples but also to learn from colleagues in other countries."

During the visit, the Moldovan representatives familiarized themselves with the Office's operating model, principles of organizing efficient workflows, and practical examples of equipping service delivery spaces. They also visited the Riga 1st Division, where face-to-face service delivery processes, information systems, and the procedure for issuing personal identification documents were presented.

They also visited the Office's archive, learning about the storage of personally submitted documents and the processing of electronically received documents. At the end of the visit, the Office's experts introduced the delegation to the results of customer satisfaction assessments, sharing experience on customer service and improving service quality.
