Ministry of the Interior

The State Border Guard College is implementing the project No. VRK/RPVP/2025/3 "Strengthening the cooperation and training capacity of border security agencies in Latvia for the effective implementation of European integrated border management," which was approved under the Financial Support Instrument for Border Management and Visa Policy 2021-2027.

As part of the project, a delegation of representatives from the State Border Guard College, the State Border Guard, the State Police College, and the Customs Board of the State Revenue Service familiarized themselves with examples of best practices in the strategic, operational, and educational implementation of border management in the Republic of Lithuania from August 5-7 this year.

The visit was very beneficial, as the delegation had the opportunity to learn about the Lithuanian Border Guard Headquarters, the National Coordination Center, the Kena railway border crossing point, the Medininkai road border crossing point, the Padvaroniai border patrol division, the Pabradė Foreigners' Registration Center, and the Lithuanian Customs Training Center. The knowledge gained and the contacts established will be used to strengthen the mechanisms of European integrated management, especially inter-agency cooperation, training, and research in Latvia.
