Today, the One-Stop Agency hosted a poignant commemorative event and discussion, reaffirming unwavering solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
During the event, the vital assistance provided to Ukrainian civilians by the Society Integration Foundation (SIF) and the One-Stop Agency was highlighted. It is essential to note that Integration and Inclusion Agency’s activities—encompassing both consultative and practical support for foreign nationals—are implemented with the targeted support of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). This fund serves as the primary instrument enabling Latvia to maintain a unified and effective integration mechanism.
The second half of the event offered attendees the opportunity to hear firsthand accounts from Integration and Inclusion Agency clients. Participants in the discussion included:
Irīna, a Ukrainian citizen who has successfully integrated into the Latvian labor market and is currently employed by the Ķekava Municipality;
Jekaterina, who has resided in Latvia since 2022 and has actively utilized VPA’s support services on her journey toward rebuilding her life.
These stories served as a powerful reminder that behind the AMIF-funded support mechanisms and systems are real people, defined by their courage and perseverance as they start anew in Latvia.
The Integration and Inclusion Agency continues to provide essential integration services through the opportunities afforded by AMIF, fostering an inclusive society and providing a reliable support point for everyone seeking refuge in our country.
