Thanks to financial support from the European Neighbourhood Instrument, from this year on October 2-6, the sixteenth training seminar for cinemagogues was held at the State border Guard College.
The seminar was organised within the framework of project ENI-LLB-2 269 “Strengthening the capacity of border Protection authorities in the field of combating cross-border smuggling and illegal immigration through the development of film services”. The project envisages several measures aimed at the development of the field of film logy of border guarding institutions, including the organisation of training seminars in which cinemagogues of the institutions involved in the project, as well as experts from abroad participate.
The seminar “Defence” was chaired by Juha Pasanena, a Finnish expert in the field of Border Guard College, and was attended by cinemagogues of the State border Guard College, the territorial administrations of the State border Guard, the State Police, the State Police College and the Military Police, as well as representatives of the Lithuanian State border Guard Service.
The seminar consisted of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part provided knowledge of the protection and its elements: grasp types and goals, stimulus control, different types of behavior, muzzle use, and exercise planning in training the dog. In the practice section, cinemagoers went outdoors to play out a variety of scenarios, from obedience exercises to aggressive behavior and bite.
in 2023, several procurements were implemented within the scope of the project, as a result of which special equipment and equipment has been supplied to the State Border Guard College College for provision and maintenance of training of service dogs, replacement of furniture of the State border Guard College Cinema Centre and repair of volleys has been performed, as well as other infrastructure improvement works are taking place in the territory of the State Border Guard College.
