Progress of the EU co-funded project

Progress of the EU co-funded project "Promoting support for victims of crime – especially vulnerable victims (particularly children) within criminal proceedings"

Ministry of the Interior

Continuing the implementation of the Internal Security Fund project No. VP/IDF/2024/1 “Promoting support for victims of crime – especially vulnerable victims (particularly children) within criminal proceedings”, State Police officials have carried out several activities in the last six months to find the best solutions for equipping interrogation rooms for underage and especially vulnerable victims of crime, as well as strengthening police capacity.

Having gathered and evaluated the information obtained, the best solution for sound and image recording equipment for equipping underage interrogation rooms in the State Police has been found, in order to launch the procurement of the aforementioned equipment by the end of this year.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Internal Security Fund 2021-2027 period, the managing authority of which in Latvia is the Ministry of the Interior.
