Opening of the cycle path from Riga to Ķekava!

On 15 July 2026, the final section of the Riga–Ķekava cycle path was officially opened, marking a significant step forward in the development of a modern, integrated cycling network in Riga and the surrounding neighbourhood.

This and other new cycling routes have been built with support from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, as part of the Riga Metropolitan Area Transport System Greening Reform supervised by the Ministry of Transport.
