Opening Conference of the European Social Fund Plus Project “School – in the Community” to Take Place on March 20, 2025
On March 20, 2025, the opening conference of the ES Fund Plus project “School – in the Community” will take place at Ziemeļblāzma Culture Palace. The event will introduce the project's activities and highlight key issues related to strengthening collaboration between schools and local communities, as well as developing effective support mechanisms for students.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to explore the project's challenges and opportunities, as well as engage in practical workshops led by project staff and industry specialists. The conference will bring together education experts, school representatives, and local government officials to promote coordinated action for improving education quality, reducing social exclusion risks, and preventing early school dropout.
Expert presentations and interactive workshops will address various approaches and solutions for student support, the role of schools in social inclusion processes, and promoting mental well-being in educational environments. Participants will gain in-depth insights into the latest trends, while industry professionals will provide practical strategies for enhancing collaboration between schools, municipalities, and parents.
“To ensure that every child receives the necessary support, it is essential to foster close cooperation between educational institutions and local communities. The aim of this conference is not only to discuss effective solutions but also to encourage real action that will help students continue their education, develop knowledge, skills, and competencies, and integrate successfully into society and the labor market,” emphasizes Sigita Upmale, project manager of “School – in the Community”.
