Interreg project "MassMovement": SFRS strengthens public crisis readiness at "Tractor Days 2026"

In July, within the framework of the project "MassMovement" (LL-00103), the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) participated in the "Tractor Days 2026" event to strengthen public resilience, knowledge, and understanding of actions to take during various threats.

To ensure your own safety and that of your family in emergency situations, it is important to prepare in advance. Event visitors had the opportunity to learn what to pack in an emergency grab-bag, how cell broadcasting and the "112 Latvija" app work, as well as to ask SFRS officials questions of interest.

The project also includes practical evacuation drills, and the partners are already planning to implement the first drills of this kind in the summer of 2026. These will train inter-institutional cooperation and test the execution of evacuation processes under realistic conditions, ensuring that, in case of need, evacuation takes place in an organized, timely, and efficient manner.
