Please be advised!

From September 9 to 12, 2025, Latvia will host the "LAT EU MODEX 2025" practical training exercise of the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.

The exercise will simulate chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threat scenarios. Please note that during the training, the movement of operational services and international team vehicles in Riga, Salaspils, and Mārupe may cause temporary traffic restrictions. There is no need for residents to be alarmed—the exercise will not endanger human health or life, nor will it cause environmental contamination.

The training is funded by the European Union and implemented in cooperation with Latvian and international partners.

We would like to express our gratitude to the European Union for its financial support in implementing this important training. This assistance is crucial for strengthening our civil defense capabilities and ensuring better preparedness to respond to various threats, thereby enhancing public safety.
