Ministry of the Interior

At the end of May this year, the first in-person seminar of the European Union Internal Security Fund project "Strengthening Baltic Sea Region Law Enforcement Agencies in the Fight against New Cross-Border Threats" took place in Lithuania. During the seminar, project representatives coordinated further project plans and activities. Activities and seminars between regional institutions, as well as planned training during the project, were also discussed and planned.

Further seminars are planned in all project member states – Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland. In Latvia, an in-person seminar will take place this autumn. Each member state will also organize online meetings according to the plan.

The project's goal is to improve the operations of Baltic Sea Region law enforcement agencies and their daily international cooperation, in accordance with applicable standards and new EU legislation in the field of cross-border law enforcement cooperation and information management.
