Erasmus+ staff mobility fosters cooperation between the State Police College and German law enforcement institutions

Ministry of the Interior

From May 16 to 22 this year, a lecturer from the Department of Law at the State Police College undertook an Erasmus+ staff mobility for professional development at the Rothenburg University of Applied Police Sciences in Saxony, Germany.

During the visit to the Rothenburg University of Applied Police Sciences and other Saxon police units, valuable professional experience was gained, and international cooperation between Latvian and German police education and law enforcement institutions was strengthened.

As part of the mobility program, the lecturer had the opportunity to explore the German police training system, the organization of practical work, technical equipment, and modern technologies used both in training future police officers and in performing daily duties.

As the lecturer noted: “The opportunity to participate in practical police work alongside officers from the Bautzen Police Department and the German Federal Police was incredibly valuable. I was able to observe the recording of administrative offenses, vehicle checks, and the organization of police work on the Germany–Czech Republic border.”
