In early March 2025, cadets from the State Police College visited the German University of Public Administration, Police and Justice (hereinafter – the University). The visit was organized within the framework of the International Student Week, and cadets from Lithuania and Estonia also participated.
During the visit, the delegations presented their educational institutions, discussing not only study programs but also technical equipment and the daily lives of cadets. The cadets had the opportunity to tour the University's infrastructure, including the tactical training ground, general and physical fitness training facilities, the shooting range, and other training objects.
The cadets were able to observe demonstrations of the daily duties of the Regular Police Service, including drone pilots, canine handlers, and the water cannon unit. The delegation also learned about the training process for first-year German cadets in controlling compliance with traffic regulations.
While visiting the Rostock Police Department, the delegation gained insight into the work of various units, including the technical equipment used by bicycle patrols. Representatives from the Criminal Police demonstrated the application of 3D cameras, and innovations in combating cybercrime were also presented. The cadets learned more about Germany's experience in maintaining public order during football matches.
The delegation of the State Police College highly appreciates the opportunity to participate in this exchange of experience, which has not only provided new knowledge but has also fostered international cooperation between law enforcement agencies. This type of cooperation is significant as it promotes the sharing of common experiences and professional development, which in the long term strengthens the security system at the international level.
