Empowered by the EU funds: State Police and State Police College showcase their growth at the "Skola 2026" education fair

Ministry of the Interior

The international education exhibition “Skola 2026” took place from February 19 to 21 at the Ķīpsala Exhibition Hall, where the State Police College and the State Police introduced visitors to the daily operations and future perspectives of a modern law enforcement agency.

Exhibition guests had a unique opportunity not only to learn about the modernization of the study process at the State Police College but also to get a close-up look at elite State Police units. Special attention was devoted to the Counter-Terrorism Unit "OMEGA" and the Special Tasks Battalion, whose operational capabilities are consistently strengthened thanks to targeted support from European Union funds.

These EU investments ensure that both future police officers at the College and high-level professionals in the "OMEGA" unit and the Special Tasks Battalion work with European-level methods, guaranteeing the internal security of Latvia and the entire EU.

Thank you to all visitors for the great interest and questions! Seeing your activity, we know that the future of Latvia's security is in safe hands.

See you next year!
