"Destination: Europe" – EMN tool helps University of Latvia students understand migration processes

Ministry of the Interior

Last week, experts from the European Migration Network (EMN) Latvian National Contact Point led a useful and topical discussion on migration processes at the Department of Geography within the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Technology at the University of Latvia, engaging international exchange students.

The students in Riga are taking the course "Cities and Society: Geography, Mobility, and Urban Sustainability," as part of which they analyze urban development and mobility solutions, while also getting to know Riga, the capital of Latvia.

The discussion utilized the tool "Destination: Europe" – a publicly available free resource that helps to understand complex migration processes in an interactive way.

The tool is available here: https://www.emn.lv/galamerkis-eiropa-diskusiju-riks.../

The experts were delighted by the opportunity to share EMN's professional experience and strengthen students' understanding of migration issues.

The activities of the European Migration Network are co-financed by the European Union.
