Cutting-edge solutions for border security: work continues on smart border surveillance infrastructure

Ministry of the Interior

The EU co-funded project "Automated Border Surveillance Infrastructure" has entered its third year of implementation, with results becoming increasingly visible.

Despite the freezing temperatures in January and the spring floods in March, work has proceeded according to the planned schedule.

This project represents a significant investment in national security, improving the efficiency of border surveillance and strengthening the external borders of the European Union.

The project is being implemented by the State Border Guard in cooperation with the SJSC Latvia State Radio and Television Center and the Provision State Agency. It is funded under the Financial Support Instrument for Border Management and Visa Policy, for which the Ministry of the Interior is the managing authority in Latvia.
