Ministry of Transport

The Ministry of Transport has developed a travelling poster exhibition showcasing key transport infrastructure projects in Latvia supported by European Union funds and the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), with the aim of informing the public about the benefits of EU financial instruments for the country’s transport development.

On 9 May, when Europe Day was widely celebrated across Latvia and Europe, the exhibition was presented at Daugavpils Central Park during the “European Courtyard Festival,” giving visitors an opportunity to learn about European Union investments in strengthening Latvia’s connectivity, safety, and sustainable mobility.

The exhibition is particularly aimed at young people, encouraging awareness of safe and sustainable mobility, as well as the contribution of European Union funds to Latvia’s development. In April, the exhibition was hosted by Latgales Industriālais tehnikums and Daugavpils Tehnoloģiju un tūrisma tehnikums, where it was available for students and visitors to explore.

The exhibition in Daugavpils was organised in cooperation with EU information network Europe Direct information centre EUROPE DIRECT Latgale, and throughout this year it will also be on display in Kurzeme and Vidzeme, and throughout this year it will also be on display in Kurzeme and Vidzeme in cooperation with Europe Direct information centres in Latvia.
