State Police College invites bids for the construction of the Internal Security Academy's practical training center.

The State Provision Agency has announced a closed tender for the construction of the Internal Security Academy (ISA) practical training center (polygon) building, a tactical car polygon, and parking lots for operational transport at 8A Ezermalas Street, Riga.

"The new practical training infrastructure will be a significant investment in preparing specialists for the police and other internal security services. Our goal is to provide an environment that meets modern challenges and promotes professional growth," emphasizes Dmitrijs Homenko, Director of the State Police College.

The procurement is being carried out within the framework of project No. VP/IDF/2024/5, "Strengthening the Latvian State Police's Response Mobility and Counter-terrorism Capabilities by Establishing a Practical Training Center." The project's total funding exceeds 10 million euros and is co-financed by the European Union's Internal Security Fund.

It is being implemented by the State Police in cooperation with the State Provision Agency. The project's goal is to significantly strengthen the State Police's counter-terrorism capabilities, as well as its response and investigative capacity. A modern theoretical and practical learning environment will be created, training programs will be improved, innovative training methods will be introduced, and international cooperation will be developed.

The future training infrastructure will include realistic training environments—tactical polygons, a climbing tower, a shooting range, operational command simulation rooms, and other functional elements that will ensure the effective training of specialists in the field of internal security.
