A more modern future for the State Police College with EU support

Ministry of the Interior

in an interview with tv3.lv, the Director of the State Police College, Dmitrijs Homenko, reveals how studies are conducted at the State Police College and what future he envisions for both the college and the police force as a whole.

In the interview, D. Homenko also talks about the Internal Security Academy, the successful collaboration with the Internal Security Academy consortium partners, and the student growth opportunities available through studies at the State Police College, the University of Latvia, and Riga Stradins University.

Furthermore, work is currently underway on the design of a new administrative building for the Internal Security Academy. The final room designs are currently being worked on, but, as the college director emphasizes, it can already be said that the new building project will allow the Internal Security Academy to rank among the most modern higher education institutions in Latvia.

Many of the plans are being implemented with co-financing from the European Union, including the Internal Security Fund project No. VP/IDF/2024/5 "Strengthening the response mobility and counter-terrorism capabilities of the State Police by creating a practical training center."
