Agnese Tambaka, Head of the ESF+ project “Cultural Events as a Tool for Promoting Civic Participation”: “We would like to thank every school that took a closer look at the everyday life, challenges and issues within its school or community that need to be addressed and should not be overlooked. The interest shown in participating in a project that aims to strengthen civil society in Latvia through inspiration drawn from cultural experiences is a promising starting point for great ideas and meaningful action!”
As previously announced, throughout the project each of the twenty participating schools will experience a range of cultural events – performances, exhibitions, concerts, films and more – while focusing on an issue identified within the school and/or local community and developing possible solutions to address it.
